She was born in Bergamo on the 1st of December 1960. After finishing high school Liceo Scientifico Statale “F. Lussana” of Bergamo, she graduated from the Faculty of Biological Sciences in the University of Milan. In 1989 she became a qualified Biologist and subscribed to the relevant professional register. She started to work in the zootechnical field in 1987 as a freelance collaborator at the Andrology Lab in the Consorzio Provinciale Fecondazione Artificiale of Bergamo where she was mainly responsible for Sperm Study and Cytofluorimetry. During the collaboration years she took part in a Pilot Plan (Piano Pilota) financed by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies (MiPAAF). In 1993 she attended the following course: “The Informatics and statistics for the business management operators” financed by the Region of Lombardy. From 1994 she has been working at the Italian Experimental Institute Lazzaro Spallanzani at Rivolta d’Adda. During many years of the work activity she has been mainly dedicated to Sperm Study, Cytofluorimetry and to Quality control, in addition to official controls as to the correctness of the self-certification of the frozen semen material (Law n°30/91). She has been participating in various projects in the relative fields as a scientific research head of semen material sexing. In 1997 she attended the course of Cytofluorimetry at Becton Dickinson in Belgium, and in 2000 she attended the training course to become the assessor, the head of the quality assurance systems – Ref. Norm UNI EN ISO 9000:1994, at MOODY International Certification LTD. Since 1988 she has published over 100 scientific and technical works both for national and international journals and Conference Proceedings.

Work experience

From 1999 to 2006 she become head of the labs of Cytometry and Embriology.

Since 2009 she became head of the Quality Assurance as for as the Quality control system, regarding the use of the ISO 9001:2008 norms for the Official Semen control according to Law N° 30/91.

Since 2011 she is head of the Quality Management system, regarding the use of the ISO 9001:2008 norms for “planning and providing advanced and permanent training courses in veterinary, farming studies and applied biology”.

From January 2015 she is in charge of the labs of Seminology and Cytometry and in charge of the Official Semen control.
